GORDON’S Restaurant in Inverkeilor received nationwide recognition on Monday evening when it was named AA Restaurant of the Year for Scotland at the AA Hospitality Awards 2011-12, hosted by Sophie Raworth, at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
Gordon Watson, proprietor, who received the award in front of an audience of over 700 members of the hospitality industry, commented: “We are overwhelmed that our hard work and dedication has been recognised by winning this special award.
“This recognises restaurants that provide cuisine of truly excellent standard as well as demonstrating innovation and ambience and providing a high standard of service and hospitality.
“This could not have come at a better time when we are celebrating our 25 years in our business and, of course, we want to thank all our customers and suppliers who have supported us throughout these years. Scotland can truly become a culinary destination.”
The two Rosette-awarded restaurant is a family run-business founded 25 years ago by husband and wife, Gordon and Maria Watson who have now been joined by their son Garry.
