The historic heavy engineering firm JM Henderson has found a buyer for their property and assets in Brechin-based JJKS Estates Ltd.

The collapse of the company dealt a devastating blow to Arbroath after 90 jobs were lost.

Blair Nimmo and Geoff Jacobs of KPMG LLP were appointed as joint administrators of John M Henderson & Co Limited and John M Henderson & Co (Holdings) Limited (“the Group”) on October 24, 2014.

Following a successful sale in December, of the Group’s name and intellectual property, Mr Nimmo and Mr Jacobs have now completed a sale of the Group’s property and moveable assets to Brechin-based JJKS Estates Ltd.

Blair Nimmo, head of restructuring for KPMG, said: “We are delighted to have concluded the sale, which we hope will generate employment opportunities in the Angus region.

“We wish JJKS Estates Ltd all the best for the future.”
