Arbroath could see an influx of new jobs after it was announced today (Tuesday) that a Brechin firm is relocating to the town.

Contact services specialists Journeycall, who are based in Brechin and Laurencekirk, are set to make the move in what is seen as a positive move for the company, staff and local economy.

Chief operating officer for Journeycall, David Burdett said: “We are relocating to premises in Arbroath that better meet our needs.

“There will be no job losses. In fact we are to be recruiting over the next two years and investing £1.5 million in the company.

“It has taken two years to find a building that is the proper size and meets our requirements. We have engaged with staff and carried out a survey which gives no indication that any of them would not be prepared to make the move to Arbroath.

“Many have indicated that they are looking forward to the move. They will be going to a much higher spec building with rest areas and a restaurant.”
