An Arbroath wedding shop has pipped top city bridal stores to be crowned Wedding Boutique of the Year at an awards ceremony on Tuesday.
Bridal Heaven beat off competition from Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth and Fife for north east title at the Scottish Wedding Awards in Glasgow.
The high street shop prides itself on providing the best and most exhaustive service they can to all their brides in the run up to their special day.
Owner Maureen Beedie said: “We are really chuffed to have won.
“We are constantly improving and doing everything we possibly can for our brides. That’s what it is all about, in the bridal industry, service means a lot.”
A boutique that already brings in business from outside of Arbroath, Maureen believes the award is also a good thing for the high street. She said: “I am secretary of the Arbroath Town Centre Retailers Association (ACTRA) and from that point of view, we need everything good about the high street promoted. This is good for Arbroath as well.
“With the type of business we have the potential to bring people to Arbroath and hopefully other shops will benefit from this success.”
Bridal Heaven would like to thank all their customers for voting for them and Maureen would like to personally thank her staff for all their hard work.
CEO of event organisers Creative Oceanic, Irfan Younis said: “We are honoured and delighted to have such great finalists and winner representing the Scottish wedding industry and enhancing its reputation nationally and internationally. As the industry continues to thrive, we hope to encourage more people to get involved and the public to recognise their hard work and efforts.”
The overall winner of the Wedding Boutique of the Year was Frox of Falkirk.
