Arbroath’s Signal Tower Museum has a poignant Book of Remembrance on display with the names of casualties from The Royal Burgh of Arbroath for the Great War (1914-1918) and Second World War (1939-1945).
The Book of Remembrance was compiled by the Rotary Club of Arbroath on the anniversary of the Golden Anniversary of the Rotary club in 1955.
It lists the town’s casualties in alphabetical order and their Regiment or Corps etc. It is an excellent historical record and the script handwriting is amazing and well worth a visit to see it at the museum.
