A RESCUE effort saved a 25 foot boat from sinking in Arbroath Marina on Sunday morning.
The alarm was raised in the early hours of the morning when the September Morn started taking on water and began to sink.
A fire crew attended the scene at 3.30 a.m. and returned at 10.30 a.m. to begin pumping water from the hull.
Also at the scene were the Arbroath RNLI and the Harbour Master. By 2 p.m. the fire crew had left the marina after pumping stopped.
