The Lochlands Adult Resource Centre has benefited to the tune of £600 thanks to a fund-raising concert hosted by a Carnoustie golf club.

The Station Masters presented the money to the centre on Thursday (October 23) which will go towards their ‘Blazing Saddles’ ability cycling project.

The money was raised at The Station Masters’ annual ‘Good Causes’ dance which was held at The Station Hotel on October 18 with the music supplied by veteran rockers ‘Sounds 4’.

Specially adapted bikes allow the project to offer an inclusive activity and regular exercise, as well as benefits to mental well-being for people with disabilities.

Blazing Saddles is run in association with Angus Disability Sport, for details contact Laura Smith on 01307 473810.

Mairead Howie, from the Lochlands Adult resource Centre said: “We would all like to thank The Station Masters for their kind donation. Everybody had a brilliant night at the dance and the disco and band were excellent.”
