Bingo for a budgie!

ARBROATH businesswoman Jacklyn Ogilvie, proprietrix of Jacklyn’s Flowers, Keptie Street, has organised an evening of bingo to raise money for the residents’ comfort fund for Balhousie Monkbarns.

She is hoping to raise enough money for the residents to be able to have a budgie and a cage

He grandmother is resident in the care home.

The bingo event will be held at the Royal British Legion Scotland’s Green Street Hall tonight (Friday). Doors will be open from 6 p.m. but eyes down will be at 7 p.m. Bingo books will be £6 for the books alone.

Stovies, a selection of sandwiches, cakes, tea or coffee and the bingo books will be £10.

Anyone who would like to donate items for the raffle or for bingo prizes should take them along to Monkbarns or drop them into Jacklyn’s shop at 40 Keptie Street (opposite the train station). Or call 01241 874144 and Jacklyn will make arrangements to collect them.
