Big plans for Ogilvy Park

The committee of Arbroath Vics, in conjunction with Angus Council, is exploring the possibility of purchasing Ogilvy Park by means of a Community Asset Transfer.

And to that end has had constructive talks with the local authority.

With this in mind, the committee of Arbroath Vics would like to invite all Arbroath residents to a public meeting on Tuesday (June 17), at 7 p.m. at the clubrooms at Ogilvy Park, Cairnie Loan (next to the Recycling Centre).

Children are also welcome to attend as long as they are accompanied by an adult of 18 years and over.

This is your chance to say what you would like Ogilvy Park used for to benefit your community.

Possible ideas are to open the facility up for children’s activities, senior citizens’ activities, sporting activities, keep fit activities, meeting room (in the club house), community hub, or indeed anything else you can think of, which may be of benefit for the community.

All are welcome on the night, and anyone requiring further information should contact Vics’ Neil Hardie by e-mail at
