The Arbroath Town Centre Retailers’ Association (ATCRA) hit the streets again this week to prove that it’s never too late to be clean.
On Tuesday the group continued their clean up of Arbroath High Street by tackling the dirty bollards which sit in front of Arbroath Sheriff Court.
Although it was announced this week that the court would be closing, Chic Grant chairman of ATCRA, felt this was no excuse to be dirty.
He said: “The court may be closing but it’s a lot cleaner now! We were out last night (Tuesday) and we did the rest of the bollards. Outside the court it was absolutely bogging.
“We would like to thank the Town House Hotel for supplying us with hot water, it was a smaller group of retailers this time but we got the rest of the job done.”
The group has recently taken the cleanliness of the High Street into its own hands in an effort to make the centre of the town more attractive for visitors.
In April the group removed fly posters and scrubbed empty shop fronts and earlier this month the volunteers were joined by members of the public to clean the stone bollards in the pedestrian zone.
