CHILDREN in Friockheim have decided to help their church celebrate it’s 200th anniversary in style.
The seven children from the Sunday School have made a replica of the Bell Rock Lighthouse to display in the church as part of their own Year of the Light celebrations.
The Sunday School are prolific charity fund-raisers, and most recently held a sale in the village selling seeds and herb plants.
Even the younger children in the group, who are not old enough to attend school were able to help and planted the seeds and made small windmill-like structures for them to grow on.
A total of £82 was raised at the sale, and the children are currently deciding between a South African water aid charity and a Dominican seed and tool program.
