BALANCEABILITY, the UK’s only accredited learn to cycle programme for children aged from two-and-a-half to six years will come to Scotland today (Friday).
The innovative programme, which has been supported by Olympic Champion cyclist Chris Boardman MBE, will be launched at Angus College in Arbroath.
The programme for the college nursery has been funded through the efforts of HND students who carried out cycling-themed fund-raising activities.
The students, along with sport and fitness lecturer Sarah Ramminger, will deliver Balanceability to the children over the summer term.
Dr Ramminger, said: “The final year HND students felt it was important to give something back to the younger generation and invest in the future. Balanceability will provide an excellent opportunity for the nursery children and enables the college to promote an active lifestyle and embrace the ECO committee ethos of the nursery.”
