An Inverbrothock primary school pupil has won a competition to help encourage locals to keep the town centre tidy.
Arbroath Town Centre Retailers’ Association (ATCRA) asked children from Arbroath schools to design a poster asking people to pick up after themselves.
Twelve year old Emma Reid’s colourful entry was picked out by the judges and she was presented with her prize of £25 Argos vouchers by Sandy Beedie.
The posters can be seen in high street shops and various places throughout the town.
“Our purpose is to try and improve Arbroath high street for locals and visitors alike,” said a ATCRA spokesperson. “We have been out painting shop fronts, keeping them clean. We are really pleased with Emma’s design and look forward to see her poster across the town. Well done.”
