Arts in Auchmithie hoping for success

Get your fill of heritage, history and diverse range of arts and crafts at The Heritage Arts Auchmithie Residents (HAAR) Festival this weekend.

Following the success of the HAAR group in celebrating Auchmithie and all it’s past and present has to offer the festival grew to be too large to have all on one day. The two aspects of the Heritage and Arts had festivals created to work on alternate years.

This year it is the turn of the Arts festival.

19 venues will be open and over 50 artists on show with a huge variety of work ranging from painting, pottery, jewellery, felt and fabric work, sugar craft, photography and weaving.

The popular tearoom will be open all day with fresh brews and homemade biscuits. Fresh fish snacks will be on sale from Stuarts Fish and delicious homegrown and homemade stovies available over lunch time. But you’ll have to get in there quick as the residents have warned us they run out fast!

The group are hoping to see as good a turn out as the last festival which, amidst the sunshine, was fantastic.
