Artists from Brechin, Montrose and Kirriemuir’s Angus Leisure Art classes are to showcase their work in an annual exhibition.
The exhibition, which features around 55 works by 22 artists, is running at the Brechin Town House Museum until July 8.
It is the fourth time the exhibition has been held, and showcases a wide range of subjects, styles and mediums. The classes are run by Helen Whamond, and the exhibition has been organised by Lorna McCall, who has attended the Brechin class for a good number of years.
As well as being able to view the art work on display, the public can vote for their favourite painting. The exhibitor of the most popular piece will win a £50 art materials voucher.
Lorna said: “Last year’s exhibition attracted over 500 visitors to the Town House Museum. This year, we hope to boost that number as we have been enthusiastically supported by Brechin Business Community enabling us to have a catalogue for the first time for all visitors to browse. It not only names the artwork but also advertises the businesses that supported us.”
Entry to the exhibition is free, and the museum is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm.
