Arbroath student wins Lara Pringle Award

STUDENTS at Angus College celebrated their achievements this week at the annual supported education awards ceremony.

The event, which took place over three days, saw over 200 students from the Step Forward, Moving On and Community Programmes Opportunities collect their certificates in front of friends, family and invited guests.

Among those being congratulated was Christina Mitchell from Arbroath who was also awarded the Lara Pringle Award for Outstanding Achievement. Every year one student who displays great commitment to their studies is selected to receive the award. This year Christina’s personal development, enthusiasm and dedication to college led to her receiving the accolade.

Curriculum manager Wendy Duke said: “All the students, staff, families and friends have really enjoyed the ceremony today and it is great to formally recognise the student’s hard work.

“I would to take this opportunity to thank all of our partners who work so closely with us to make the college experience such a positive one for our community learners.”
