Battling it out against six other top salons in Scotland is Dream Hair who have been put forward to the finals of the INAA Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards.

The popular salon beat hundreds of entries from across the country to reach the final and will be heading to the award ceremony in Glasgow in August.

The nomination is based not only on the salon’s hairdressing skills but on the service and standards provided to each client.

Marie McIntosh Ramminger owner of Dream Hair said: “I really couldn’t be prouder of myself and of course my fantastic team.

“Becoming finalists is amazing, but it has even more impact when we are up for the title along with salons that there is great respect for.”

Dream Hair are in the top six alongside one of the leaders in Scottish hairdressing, Charlie Taylor, a large, well established salon chain.

Marie said: “With Dream Hair only being in its fourth year of business and to be at this point, is brilliant”.

“This I feel is due to our commitment, our drive for success and the love of the job but has involved a lot of hard work in and out of the salon for myself.”

The prestigious ceremony will take place in Glasgow in August where celebrity Denise Van Outen will host along with other celebrity guests.

“Winning the accolade would be massive for Arbroath as it will put the town on the map in the hairdressing world.

“I’m over the moon that all of the salon’s achievements and hard work are being recognised.

“The support from not only our own clients, but the support from the local community has blown me away and I can’t wait to represent Dream Hair but also Arbroath in the finals.”

The INAA - I Need An Appointment - Awards celebrate the talent, passion and innovation of the professionals who contribute greatly to the social fabric and economy of Scotland.

Now in its fifth year, the Awards attract top notch celebrities who come along to support their achievement.

Denise Van Outen will be the host of this year’s event.

The gongs will be given out at a glittering Masquerade Ball being held in Glasgow on Sunday, August 23, where guests will enjoy an evening filled with excitement and delight.

INAA launched in January 2010 as an online booking service for hair and beauty appointments and ran their first awards ceremony in June 2011.

The salon, now in its fourth year of business, was also recently invited to enter the ‘Image of The Year Awards’ to design the new look for hairdressing brand Sassoon’s, new promotional material.
