A local nurse currently living in Pau, France, has recently graduated.
Lauren Kydd (nee Whitton), graduated in absentia from the University of Dundee on June 26 with a Master of Science in Advanced Practice.
A qualified nurse, she originally graduated from the University of Abertay in 2003. She spent her career with NHS Lothian, NHS Tayside and then NHS Grampian.
Several years of her career were based in Arbroath before she completed a BA in District nursing (graduating from Robert Gordon University in 2012) and then moving to Aberdeen to undertake a new service development post aimed at preventive care and enabling elderly persons to remain at home.
Lauren was unable to make the graduation ceremony as she was getting married the week after.
She has relocated to France with her husband as a result of his work.
Lauren is studying French, working in a local school supporting a child with learning difficulties and also working as a nurse lecturer for Robert Gordon University, developing material for online learning and assisting the lecturing team based in Aberdeen.
