Both Arbroath lifeboats were launched last night (Wednesday) to attend an incident at the town’s cliffs.

A request for assistance was received at 11.40pm and the volunteer RNLI crew quickly launched the all-weather and inshore lifeboats, arriving at the scene a short time later.

The matter was soon brought under control when the casualty was taken into the care of Police Scotland officers and the lifeboats stood down, returning to station at approximately 12.30am.
