Arbroath’s volunteer RNLI crew were involved in the recovery of a body yesterday (Sunday).

The inshore lifeboat Robert Fergusson was launched at 12.20pm yesterday to assist in the recovery of a body which had been found at sea by a fishing vessel.

The Robert Fergusson was also launched on Saturday at around 12.30pm following a request for assistance from HM Coastguard at an incident close to the town’s harbour.

There were no casualties and the matter was brought to a safe conclusion following intervention by an Arbroath RNLI crew member and Police Scotland officers.
