Appeal after homophobic abuse

Police are probing an incident in Arbroath after a woman was surrounded by youths who then shouted homophobic abuse at her.

The incident occurred on Friday (August 30) at 1.30 p.m., at Macdonald Park near to Lochlands Drive close to Angus College.

The woman was approached and surrounded by the youths who then shouted abuse and directed homophobic remarks at her.

Police say the woman was unhurt but understandably frightened and upset by the actions of the youth.

If anyone has information about this incident or knows who is responsible, they should contact Police Scotland Tayside Division on 101 or speak to any police officer.
