The Salvation Army in Arbroath will launch their Christmas Present Appeal on Monday.
Every year the Salvation Army relies on the generosity of the public to donate gifts and toys for children and young people who, otherwise, would have little or nothing on Christmas morning.
Over many years, millions of toys and gifts have been donated and hundreds of thousands of lives have been brightened.
From December 1, members of the public can drop off a new or unwrapped gift for a child aged from birth to 16 years at Superdrug in the High Street.
Local Salvation Army representatives will then, through the Angus Toy Appeal, distribute them to children and families in need in our area.
Thanks to the generosity of people in Arbroath and the surrounding district, and primary schools in Carnoustie, last year, the Salvation Army collected over 400 toys and gifts which were gifted to the needy for Christmas.
The appeal will run until Friday, December 20, and for more information on where to drop off a gift in your immediate area, call Corps Officer Roy Dainty on 01241 872525.
