ANGUS Strathspey & Reel Society’s annual Fiddlers’ Rally will take place at Arbroath’s Webster Memorial Theatre at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday, April 21.
Fiddlers from all over Scotland will be joining the orchestra and an exciting night of traditional music is guaranteed.
The conductor is Frank Robb, Forfar, and once again the society will welcome Billy Anderson, Radio Tay, who will be compere. Albany will also feature on the programme along with local soprano Maggie Findlay who is no stranger to the Webster.

Car boot sales
ARBROATH Vics resume their car boot sales on Sunday (April 1) at Ogilvy Park, Cairnie Loan, Arbroath. Since taking over the running of the weekly boot sales, they have proved to be popular and the club has been given permission from Angus Council to hold them from April through to October.
The ground has the capacity for 80 pitches and also 60 spaces for general parking. Prices for cars are £7 per boot and £10 for vans. Food vendors are not permitted within the ground. The club also offer a four-week ticket, which allows holders a reduced rate of four Sundays at the boot sale of £24 for cars and £36 for vans. Gates open at 8 a.m. and the sale itself gets under way at 9 a.m.
