There was a good turnout for Arbroath Rotary Club’s annual barbecue at Hospitalfield House at the weekend.
Members, partners and friends gathered in the grounds of the iconic building on Saturday for an afternoon of fun and friendship.
Vice president David Miller, who organised the event, hailed it a success. He said: “The club barbecue, which is a well established event in our annual programme, is a popular social gathering.
“I am pleased that our newer members came along showing that Rotary membership is much, much more than a weekly club meeting.
“We had a few games including boules and we also had an enjoyable musical interlude from several club members.
“There was terrific fellowship all helped out by the wonderful weather. Overall it was a great day.”
Recent Rotary recruit Jim Smith added: “As I am a new member of Arbroath Rotary the barbecue was an excellent opportunity for my wife Iris and I to meet my fellow members, their partners and guests on a very informal basis. We really enjoyed the afternoon.”
