Picturesque Inverquharity Castle, near Kirriemuir, hosted the opening of the Angus Open Studio in advance of their fourth annual event.

Angus Open Studios (AOS) is an association of artists, craftsmen and design-makers in and around Angus who throw open their doors to the public each May to show what Angus has to offer.

Inverquharity Castle hosted this years preview where work from the membership was on display and available to buy during the event.

More than 200 people attended to get a sneak peak at the artists work ahead of each individual open studio.

56 artists across 40 venues are taking part this year to help promote artists, contemporary and traditional craftsmen, and designer-makers in Angus.

If you missed this opportunity, don’t miss out on seeing all the artists this coming weekend May 22 to May 26. Visit www.angusopenstudios.com where you can view all the artists’ information and examples of their work and also plan your route to the different studios.

Individual artists from Arbroath to Carmyllie and Monifieth to Monikie feature as well as groups such as the Carnoustie Arts Society where demonstrations will be shown throughout the open studio period.
