Alpha courses to resume in Arbroath

THE POPULAR Alpha course is set to begin again shortly in Arbroath and organisers expect a big take-up of places as registration commences.

The course is open to everyone interested in discovering what Christianity is about. It’s a place where people can come and relax, eat, share thoughts and explore the meaning of life.

Courses have been held in Arbroath continuously since 1995. But this year there will be a choice of days and venues to attend and those interested can choose Tuesday evenings, Wednesday afternoons or Wednesday evenings.

The venues chosen are central, comfortable and easily accessed. The emphasis is on a relaxed and friendly afternoon or evening when guests become friends over the 10 weeks of the course, and can explore together the subjects discussed each session.

Each session begins with a meal or refreshments, then a short talk looking at a different aspect of the Christian faith each week. This is followed by a time of discussion.

Courses commence on Tuesday, September 6, and Wednesday, September 7. Each course lasts 10 weeks, with groups spending a Saturday away together in the middle.

There is no charge for attending Alpha and all materials are provided.

Further information about Alpha and details of how to register are available from Alison at 01241 431135 (Wednesday courses) or Liz at 01241 872243 (Tuesdays).
