AN ARBROATH family which raised money to give their critically ill son a holiday to remember has been having a great time in Florida.
Daniel’s Mathieson’s family raised more than £10,000 to take him to Disney World Florida and fulfil one of his dreams.
Daniel suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which has left him confined to a wheelchair and has already claimed the lives of his brothers James and John.
Earlier this year the Mathiesons, concerned by the seriousness of Daniel’s condition, started the campaign ‘Daniel’s Dream’ to raise funds to take him on what might be his last family holiday.
They arrived in Florida on December 12 and after settling into their accommodation have been touring the various theme parks and attractions the Orange State has to offer.
They have already visited SeaWorld and spent Christmas Day in Disney World where they met Mickey Mouse.
The family is using the Daniel’s Dream Facebook page to keep supporters up to date with their holiday.
