Moonwalk is 10 years old! The breast cancer fund-raiser celebrates its 10th birthday this year.
And entries for the iconic night-time walking challenge on Saturday, June 13, starting at Inverleith Park, Edinburgh, are now open.
Thousands of women, men and young walkers will join together to celebrate a decade of incredible Scottish fund-raising and decorated bras.
This unique event, which sees the streets of Edinburgh flooded with walkers in brightly coloured bras, has raised almost £18 million to help improve the lives of people with cancer.
There is a walking distance for every age and ability, so the whole family, friends, colleagues, or school class can get fit, have fun, raise money and awareness for breast cancer. The 6.55 miles New Moon challenge, now in its third year, is a great way to kickstart fitness regimes, and offers The MoonWalk experience to a much wider group of people.
For those wanting to push themselves a little further, Walk the Walk also offers three longer distances: The Half Moon (13.1 miles), Full Moon (26.2 miles) and for those wanting a thrilling new goal, there’s the double marathon Over The Moon (52.4 miles).
