CHILDREN are invited to Arbroath Library tomorrow (Saturday) to mark the launch of a summer reading programme.
The 2009 Summer Reading Challenge involves children all over the UK being invited to embark on a fantastical adventure.

The aim of the challenge is to get children to read six books from their local library during the holidays and join in a fantasy quest in their search for the golden book.

Everyone who signs up for the Summer Reading Challenge 2009 receives a moving image membership card and can keep track of the books they read on a fold-out poster.

There will be variety of activities at Arbroath Library, including a visit from Dougie the Dragon and Arbroath Abbey Timethemes volunteers in costume. You don't have to be a library member to take part.
