TEMPORARY work was being undertaken this week to make safe the high sandstone wall delineating the boundary of Lunan Court Care Home at Greenbank Brae and Millgate Loan.
The road at Greenbank Brae has been closed for some weeks after it was noted that the top of the wall was bulging dangerously.

At one point it was almost touching a street lamp which previously had been more than a foot away.

A spokesperson for Southern Cross Healthcare, owners of Lunan Court, explained: "Southern Cross Healthcare has employed the services of specialist engineers and is currently working with the local authorities to establish the most appropriate action to rectify the issue.

"We are carrying out remedial works at present until this plan is finalised."
