POWER tools worth £1,300 have been stolen from a container on Hill Street, Arbroath, near to the former Marine Ballroom, which is being renovated.
Sometime between 11.30 a.m. on Saturday and 7.30 a.m. on Monday, a Hilti sabre saw, a Stihl saw and Paslode nail gun were taken from the large blue metal container.

If you were in the area and saw anything that could assist police enquiries call us now on 0845 600 5705.

Meanwhile, 10 vehicles parked in the town's St Vigean's Road were targeted by vandals overnight Sunday into Monday (June 29/30) causing damage estimated to be in hundreds, if not thousands of pounds.

All of the vehicles - eight cars, a combo van and a Transit - had their bodywork scratched whilst parked on the left side of the road on the approach from Cairnie Road.

Anyone who was in the area and who saw or heard anything suspicious is asked to call Tayside Police on 0845 600 5705.
