ARBROATH police has appealed for information after a moped and a trails bike were stolen from separate addresses in the town.
A black Malguti Crosser moped - worth about £400 - was stolen from the rear of a house in Millfield Road, sometime between 10.30 p.m. on Wednesday (May 7) and 5.45 p.m. yesterday (Thursday, May 8).

When stolen it bore the registration number X657 UKS. The 50cc scooter was fitted with a steering lock at the time and so it is likely that another vehicle and perhaps a trailer would have been used to carry out this crime.

And sometime between 4 p.m. on Thursday (April 8) and 4 a.m. on Friday morning (April 9), a Honda off-road motorbike was stolen during a break-in to a shed in Strathairlie Avenue.

The bike has a black and grey-coloured frame and black and white carbon fibre casing and is about three feet high and has a pink brake foot-pedal.

Anyone who has information that could lead to the recovery of either of these bikes should call Tayside Police on 0845 600 5705.
