ARBROATH Lifeboat Station is the proud owner of a large flat screen television thanks to the generosity of Sheila McCann and Colin M. Smith's shop in the Abbeygate.
Sheila's husband, Alex McCann, had served as a shore crewman at the lifeboat for many years. When he passed away in March those who attended his funeral were invited to make a donation to the Arbroath lifeboat crew.

After discussion with the crew members it was decided to replace the current television, used to show training videos, with a new state-of-the-art set.

The new set was handed over by Sheila and Roly Smith of retailer Colin M. Smith, who upgraded the television at no extra cost, on Tuesday night.
