ARBROATH Musical Society started the New Year with a cash boost on Monday when they were presented with a cheque for £750 by the Amy Barnett Skea Trust.
The money, handed over during a break in rehearsal, will be put to great use, helping stage the society's next production, Rodger & Hammerstein's classic, all time favourite musical 'Oklahoma'.

The Musical Society's production dates have changed this year from February to June, and the cast is busy preparing for their first production in the Webster Memorial Theatre since it was refurbished.

Morna Brown said: "It's a great show, with well known and loved songs from start to finish. The cast is working hard to ensure our first show back in the Webster Memorial Theatre is one that both they and the audience will really enjoy and remember!"

While rehearsals are already under way for Oklahoma, the society would like to hear from any individuals who would like to take part in the show.

If you are interested, or would like more information please call 0844 870 0241, or contact a committee member via the webpage www.amsonline.org.uk

Oklahoma will run from June 4 to 7.
