ARBROATH Town Mission was the centre of fun and happy companionship on Friday when the Keep Fitters held their annual keep fit/healthy eating event.
Sixty members enjoyed a lively work out of aerobic exercises to upbeat music led by fitness instructor Maggie Kelly, from Montrose.

Maggie's lively personality and sense of fun added much to the enjoyment of the routines which everyone tackled with enthusiasm. She was thanked on behalf of the group by Wilma Swankie and presented with flowers and gift by Miss Valerie Walker.

A presentation of flowers to Wilma on behalf of the group followed while a donation of £77 was made to the minibus fund.

Following the exercise session everyone enjoyed a lovely three-course meal prepared by the centre staff and served by volunteers. The grace was said by Dr Bob Chapman who thanked everyone for the gift to the minibus fund and explained that it was hoped that a new vehicle would be available shortly, although considerable funds still had to be raised.

Sadie Brown gave thanks to Dr Bob, Wilma and Maggie for an enjoyable morning and for the continuing keep fit classes which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Flowers were also presented to Agnes Scothern, an inspiration to everyone and the oldest member at the age of 92.
