THE PUPILS of Stagecraft School of Dancing presented a fast-moving, highly entertaining Children's Revue + in the Webster Memorial Theatre on Friday.
The audience appreciated that everyone concerned was enjoying presenting all their skills in dance with great delight, after working hard in class.
The Seniors' Pointe Ballet danced to 'Pride and Prejudice', and beautifully portrayed the difficult
steps in a controlled and elegant way. Their own choreography to close was a complete contrast, bubbling over with energetic ease.
Kirsty Petrie and Rachael Burness' choreography with 5:30 and 4:30 showed their talents to perfection. The lyrical 'Water Mood' flowed and the class presented this with enjoyment.
Taps Only's presentation of 'Black Horse', devised by Glenda Masson, was a credit to her and the senior members.
The little ones' 'Abba' was beautifully costumes, and they tapped with ease through the dance.
The middle group's 'Super SOS' was difficult, but they made it look easy - a great credit to them.
'Rhumba', arranged by Jane Barraclough, was a Latin American treat in which class three let their hair down and swayed. The talents of Alison Christie's 'Cheerleader' brought out the best in them.
Class four's 'Ballet' was a joy to watch. Each year the different classes show improvement and this was evident in all their work, especially with Jill Duncan's 'Money'. This was a good idea, well presented.
ABBAtastic was 4:30's own choreographed routine, well thought out and danced with great joy and energy.
The beautiful music from 'Dancing with Wolves' was used for 'Indian Mood', which they danced smoothly and with great control.
As usual, class one and two stole the whole show with their complete enjoyment and making sure mummies and daddies were in the audience.
