A BREAKDOWN in communication, between Stagecoach Strathtay and the Royal Burgh of Arbroath Community Council, left the chairman, Pat Millar, fizzing.
Stagecoach had approached the community council for permission to address the next meeting, to listen to public criticism of the company's operations, and to try to sort things out.

The community council convened and a number of members of the public were present - but nobody from Stagecoach turned up.

Mrs Millar was very angry at the time, although she did cool down enough to quip: "The bus man must have got on the wrong bus."

However, since then Stagecoach have contacted Mrs Millar to apologise profusely to her, the community council and the public.

It appears that human error had put the appointment into a diary - for exactly a week later.
