TAYSIDE Police has renewed an appeal for information about an incident in which a 15-year-old boy suffered an eye injury after apparently being shot with a pellet or BB gun.
The incident happened at about 10.20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, in Dishlandtown Street, whilst the teenager was out walking with a friend.
A boy, believed to be of similar age, came from the direction of Colville Place on a BMX, passed them and headed off in Mount Zion Brae and into Millgate Loan.
At the same time the 15-year-old youth heard a noise similar to a pellet or BB gun being fired and felt excruciating pain in his right eye.
He later attended at hospital where his badly swollen eye was treated and he was found to have suffered damage to his retina.
Tayside Police would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time or who has information that could assist police enquiries to contact the Force on 0845 600 5705.
