THE NEWLY 'branded' learning centre at Arbroath public library is having a promotional /open day on Friday, May 23, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to encourage local people to take advantage of the new range of learning opportunities available at the centre now.
The learning centre has both Learn Direct Scotland and ILA Scotland 'branding', enabling the centre to offer over 600 courses varying from Basic English skills, to Advanced IT skills.

Discussions are also under way to look at the delivery of SQA courses from the learning centre in the future.

These courses are currently free, and offer people the opportunity to work at their own pace in an informal environment or from home, with trained staff available for support and assistance.

Come along and have a coffee and chat to staff from the library and Learn Direct Scotland in an informal setting about what skills you need, or discuss any other aspect of the courses and opportunities available at your local library now.

You can even register for courses on the day!
