AN ARBROATH couple celebrated 50 golden years of marriage on Saturday.
Margaret and Harry Gauld were married on March 24, 1962, in Lochee West Church, Dundee, where they both lived at the time.
Mrs Gauld is a native of Dundee, while Mr Gauld was born in Forfar but later moved to the city.
The couple, who now live in Brechin Road, moved to Arbroath in 1970 when Mrs Gauld worked for William Lowe supermarket and then the Abbeygate.
Latterly she worked for Pert’s Furniture shop, while Mr Gauld worked in engineering.
They have two sons, Stephen and Maurice. There are four grandchildren.
In their spare time Mr Gauld enjoys fishing and gardening and Mrs Gauld likes to attend keep fit classes and go walking.
