ANGUS Citizens’ Advice Bureau in Angus has received an award of £10,000 in the first tranche of donations for 2012 from the Bank of Scotland Foundation.
A cheque for that sum will be presented at the Millgate headquarters of the charity by Angus South MSP Graeme Dey on Monday, April 23.
The donation will provide Angus Citizens Advice Bureau with a part-time debt advisor who will reach up to 130 additional people a year.
Kate Guthrie, HR director, insurance, Lloyds Banking Group and chair of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees commented: “We had a fantastic response to the first year of the Small Grants Programme and are now delighted to be entering our second year of funding.
“Angus Citizens Advice Bureau provided an excellent proposal showing a real need for funding and we are pleased to be able to help them provide this valuable service to their community.”
