ROSIE Hill has been appointed District Commissioner for Arbroath Girlguiding, an appointment which runs for the next five years. Over the last five years there has been an increase in the number of girls joining Girlguiding in Arbroath and Rosie hopes that this trend will continue.

At present there are six Rainbow units for those aged from five to seven years, seven Brownie Units for seven to 10 years age group, three Guide Units for those between 10 and 14 years, and a Senior Section unit for those from 14 to 26 years. Although most units meet Monday through Thursday in the Guide Hall, Ogilvy Place, there are also those which meet in either schools or churches.

Girlguiding offers its members an opportunity to make new friends and to experience many different activities such as craftwork, games, drama, cooking, badge work and outdoor activities, and above all to have fun.

Anyone interested in joining should contact Rosie on 07 977 790528 or go to the Angus Girlguiding website at http://girlguidingangus.org.uk/
