Joseph is in the LimeLight

AN ARBROATH musical company is taking to the stage once again with their latest production, an Andrew Lloyd Webber classic.

The LimeLight Company will bring ‘Joseph and His Technicolour Dreamcoat’ to the stage later this month, just three months after their hit ‘Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’.

The show will run from November 21 to 24 and involves a cast of more than 100 young people of all ages and abilities from four to 19.

Joseph’s story is one of bitter and dangerous sibling rivalry, a strange ability to read dreams, and ambition which would see him made a slave in Egypt.

It promises a kaleidoscope of colours, singing and dancing, with hits like ‘Any dream will do’, ‘Go go go Joseph’ and ‘Close every door’ making it perfect for all ages.

Tickets are on sale now from the Webster Memorial Theatre Box Office, Wednesday night £8 and Thursday to Saturday is £10.

The LimeLight Company will also be attempting next year to regain their Guinness World Record for the fastest theatrical production.

They briefly held the record last year by producing ‘Guys and Dolls’ in less than 23 hours and are looking for help on February 1 and 2 to try again.
