Gordon’s alive! Flash in action at the Abbey Theatre panto

THE ABBEY Theatre’s pantomime will be blasting onto the stage early next month.

This Christmas, the hero of the hour will be Flash Gordon in a specially written production beginning on Thursday, December 6.

In ‘Flash Gordon the Panto!’, Santa Claus has been kidnapped and reluctant hero Flash, joined by his outrageous mum, Mrs G, potty Professor Blastoff and the beautiful Dale Arden must rescue him.

Evil Emperor Ming is joined in his dastardly plans by his apprentice Kevin and the Bird Queen.

Old favourites Bessie and Jessie will return, along with a riot of singing, dancing and custard pie throwing, making this a show not to be missed.

‘Flash Gordon the Panto’ has been specially adapted for the stage and produced by Alan Christison.

The show will run from Thursday, December 6 to Saturday, December 15 at 7.30 p.m. except on Sunday, December 9 when there will be a matinee performance starting at 2.30 p.m.

Tickets are £7 and are available now from Visit Scotland on 01241 872609.
