Dance students’ successes

STUDENTS of the The Esk Academy of Dancing, Montrose, have gained their Associate Teaching Diplomas at the summer examinations.

Cally Robertson, Arbroath, who took the lead role in the Academy’s last ballet, ‘La Fille mal Gardee’, gained her certificate in advanced ballet, tap and jazz.

Another Arbroathian, Iain Johnstone, has trained to and passed his premier award in ballroom dancing and Latin American dance, and Bonnie Blair-Imrie, Lunan, has achieved the advanced certificate in ballet, has also trained at the Laban School in London in contemporary dance and taught in schools including creative movement.

Kirsten Darling has gained credentials in advanced ballet, tap and jazz, and has already been awarded an Elementary Ballet Teaching Diploma with BAL. She is moving on to pastures new in Geneva where she intends continuing her love of dance.
