This picture from December, 1966, shows officers of the old Arbroath Burgh Police Force before it was amalgamated with Angus Constabulary in May, 1949.
Some were still serving when the picture was taken at the annual Police Ball in the Cliffburn Hotel.
They are, from left, back - Constable James Fraser, Inspector Thomas McMaster and Constable George Cunningham: front - Detective Sergeant William Fraser, Policewoman Anna Robb, Constable William K. Steven and Sergeant William Cameron.
