In March, 1980, Mrs Joan Smeaton was the lucky winner of a £1,000 jackpot on the Scottish Junior Goldliner Lottery sold at Robertson's, Fit o' the Port, on behalf of Arbroath Victoria Junior Football Club.


She was presented with her cheque by the owner of the agency, Bill Robertson.
