MP’s visit to Halliburton
ANGUS MP Mike Weir visited Halliburton in Arbroath on Friday when he met with site director Ian Cameron, focus factory manager Archie Forster and Maggie Long.
The MP, who is a vice chair of the All Party Group on Oil and Gas, said it was always good to visit local businesses engaged in the industry.
He continued: “It was good to hear that Halliburton is currently doing well with work in the oil and gas industry which remains an important element of our economy both locally and nationally. Halliburton are active not only in the North Sea but in oil producing areas around the world.
“With the very substantial amount of oil remaining in the North Sea the industry will continue to be very important for many years to come providing good employment opportunities and career development for young people in Angus and Scotland.”
