The ROTARY Club of Arbroath held ‘silent auctions’ at the Meadowbank Inn and Hotel Seaforth during April and May, 1985, respectively to raise money for the Tayside Body Scanner Appeal.

Our picture shows the community service convener, Mr Inglis Goodfellow, presenting a cheque for £450 to Mrs Marjo Bain of the appeal. A sum of cash was also disbursed to local charities.

In the picture are, from left - Mr George Payne, treasurer; Mrs Bain, Mr Ed Kear, vice-president; Mr Goodfellow, Mr E.S. Nicoll and Mr Ken McAllister, president.
